VDBC Club Announcement

August 2007

New Rules for the 2007-8 Race Season

Parks VIC have stated that they require the VDBC to reduce noise in order for us to use the NWSC.

All boats up to blown hydros will have to run over transom pipes with water or mufflers or both to reduce noise. No Zoomies. This is not negotiable and boats that turn up that haven’t done this will not go on the water. Parks VIC will have a decibel meter, any boats that exceed a certain level will be asked to get off the water. This is out of the clubs control.

All helmets from the 1st of September must be 50% yellow, orange or red on the upper part. APBA Rule.

All boats have to have a fire extinguisher on board. This will all be checked prior to a boat going on the water.

All drivers entering to race must show proof of boat registration and water license details to the race secretary in the morning. Don’t say you left it at home. No proof no race.

If you have any inquiries about these rules please contact the Club President.
